My brain often whispers to my heart,
"only share with those who can help."
It's a piece of advice I am pretty sure a therapist told me once,
and it has quietly guided me since.
Over the years certain quotes, jokes, sayings, and even memes have imprinted themselves on my brain.
I don't always recall who first shared them with me, or the exact wording,
but they pop up in my thought bubble all the time.
When I finally locate the "file" in my memory, I like to give a quiet thanks to the person who slipped it in my brain.
Let's be clear my younger friends, not having the recall to remember a person, place or thing certainly does have to do with age, however, not in the smug way that you think!
You my younger friend may pull a memory out of your brain file faster than I,
however, I have years of files more than you do to search through and I no longer sweat the small stuff, a privilege you have yet to earn, (joking! Â don't sweat the small stuff!)
Pretty ironic that I lived by the rule, "only share with those who can help," yet here I am...going public with a blog.
Well, I am not delusional, maybe not the entire internet, nevertheless, I am putting my words out there.
The truth is,
I've always journaled my way through difficult times, I guess because I was living by my rule.
Somewhere along the way I started pulling positive messages to help to heal the negative.
Writing things out has always been  a part of me...
Now I am just letting people peek at my pages.
