The woman I've always been...
🫧Who am I:
I am Belinda.
I don’t claim to be a professional psychologist or therapist…
However, after more than 30 years as a licensed cosmetologist—
Just like you bartenders out there
I have earned a degree in listening.
When you spend decades behind the chair,
you become a life expert in more ways than you expected.
From my view, I get to see the world
all from within the salon walls.
Through every person who has sat in my chair,
I’ve had the privilege of learning their stories.
You hear it all—
from love to loss,
laughter to heartache,
and things that can never leave the salon.
“What happens in the salon stays in the salon.”
We know… Vegas got this line from us.
Somewhere between all the shampooing and cutting,
wisdom sneaks in—
leaving us with four weeks before we know
if we solved anything at all.
Are we back to the root of the topic?
Or is it just a root touch-up?
This is why I have a motto I love to share with my clients:
“If you can’t change your life, change your hair.”
“And come to think about it…
many of my clients became my Google source in life—
only better.
Because they come with stories.
Real-life wisdom that no search engine could!”
Inside my bubbles ...- - -. . . My approach is...making something have meaning when it feels meaningless.
My voice and tone:
I start every subtitle with
. . .---. . .
It's Morse code for
Save Our Souls.
Just my little twist on the way life floats.
🫧Who is this for:
. . .- - -. . . KNOW YOUR AUDIENCE
I believe my perspective on relationships--
past, present, and whatever the future thinks it's doing--
will resonate with women of all ages.
That said, I'll be writing through the lens of my own experiences-
floating through life over 50 and all the humor I can find.
Being over 50 is fantastic.
It's the time in our lives when our children are no longer the main focus,
and the spotlight starts drifting back to us-
suddenly you're like,
"Oh hey, there I am."
Come on, girlfriends-
we all know as women we instinctively put others first...
Well stop!!!
It's time to set aside the guilt once and for all.
Allow yourself to carry on with the airline analogy
"place your own oxygen mask on first before helping others"
It feels weird at first, like,
"is this allowed?"
It's actually a relief when we truly give in to this,
when we allow ourselves to to be the best version of ourselves.
and prioritize our own heart.
let go of trying to be the best mother, daughter, sister or friend,
and instead look for your own reflection in your tomorrow.
Now here we are at this point in life,
we think we know what we want in a relationship-
hmm..... do we really, though?
"....mostly know?"
---then the thought bubble pops🗯️...
...what do we know?
Well, we definitely know what we DON'T want.
The bigger question ?
Do we truly recognize what we do want?
Have we made peace with our broken heart?
Did we address what we carry alone with us--
our so called "baggage"--
a word I honestly hate,
but let's be real...
no one escapes life without the heartache that fills those bags.
And let's face it,
our baggage end up costing us more than the airline ever would.
At least the airline tells you the fee upfront --
ours sneaks into every new relationship,
like a surprise carry-on.
🫧What the reader will get here:
Bubbles that are reflective storytelling with intimate
internal dialogue,
floating through life with a poetic diary feel.
Heart-to-heart conversations,
wrapped up in metaphors and analogies .
Romanticizing, but not unrealistically.
Protective tone without being an alarmist or cynical.
Threads of lyrics in nostalgic rhyme,
to where memories awaken.
Connecting through emotions,
humor added with a compassionate wink,
to lighten the delivery without popping.

Keep the bubble floating...🫧
